In the world of house music, AKA AKA stands out as a beacon of friendship and unwavering collaboration. Their journey began in the heart of Berlin, where two individuals from distant corners of Germany met at a legendary park party in 2008. Their musical odyssey took flight with their debut track “Woody Woodpecer” on Stil vor Talent, quickly garnering the attention of renowned DJs on the music scene a the time. Quickly moving to establish their own label, Burlesque Musique, a sanctuary for unrestrained imagination and a kaleidoscope of eclectic electronic sounds, drawing inspiration from swing, Balkan influences, and funk. The label evolved into a platform for nurturing emerging talents as well as further solidifying their presence in the electronic music scene.

Fast forward to 2023, the duo launched a new label “WHATS POPPIN”, with a specific focus on bass-heavy house music. Their releases have received regular chart positions, among their notable successes is the track “Let Me Show You,” which placed number one in iTunes Electronic Germany chart and picking up support from industry figures like Alok, Wade and Claptone.
